Picture Site Visit our new picture site to keep up to date on what we are doing in El Transito. Shutterfly has really made it easy for us to document what we are doing on a day to day basis. Check back often, it is updated frequently. Baseball Field NICA started construction on El Transito's baseball field March 2010. We plan to complete the renovation before the rainy season starts in May. We are redesigning the field to include bathrooms, food stands, dugouts, a stadium, and a fense. Catholic Church - March 2009 In January, NICA started working to upgrade and revitalize the Catholic Church. We installed a garden, painted, added a bodega, and built a wall around it. NICA has implemented positive change in El Transito since 2006. Since NICA's arrival, living conditions in El Tránsito have improved greatly. Water Service took over the private water well and improved service rebuilt and improved the public well. installed 20 laundry stations. Medical Services supports a 24 hr nurse to the residents of the town. provides health center with supplies supports public health education.
