Our Mission

Nicaragua's government cannot afford to provide adequate education, health care and infrastructure to the country's more than 5 million residents. NICA seeks to fill the country's gap in services to rural areas where the need is greatest.

NICA focuses in five areas: Infrastructure, Education, Health care, Commerce, and Community Pride.

Our mission is to empower Nicaragua through community development, helping the country become more self-sufficient and a greater participant in the global economy. We teach sustainability to rural communities, which is especially important right now, given that more than half of Nicaragua's population is under the age of 18.
