Chris is the principal owner and executive officer of MDB Capital Group LLC, an investment banking firm he co-founded in 1997. MDB Capital specializes in financing emerging growth companies in the U.S.

During his career, Chris has conceptualized, formed and financed several companies that have attained several hundred million dollars in market capitalization. In addition, he has taken several companies public as an investment banker and has provided equity financing to more than 50 public companies. Chris also serves as Chairman of PatentVest, Inc. and PatentVest, S.A., which is a business intelligence database that transforms patent information into usable information for business users.

Chris has led the efforts of MDB Capital Group and PatentVest to establish a business presence in Managua. In the early stages of their development in Nicaragua, MDB and PatentVest employ approximately 30 people in research-related positions and expect to grow their respective operations in Nicaragua over the next few years.

Chris, who is married to Terri, has a rich family history in Nicaragua. His mother, Angela Ascension Pasos Pastora, was born in Rivas, Nicaragua. Both the Pasos and Pastora sides of the family have included notable individuals who have shaped the development of Nicaragua.
