NICA inaugurated the baseball field with the Mayor, Juan Gabriel Hernandez, and the town of El Transito on January 9, 2011.

El Transito is the cleanest pueblo in Nagarote. NICA accomplishes this big task through awareness and organizing townspeople to pick up trash.

We are currently working with our Nicaraguan neighbors in two Comarcas located on the rim of Laguna de Apoyo, about 4 Kilometers outside of Granada.

NICA launches a lunch program at the beginning of the 2010 school year.

In November of 2008, NICA began renovating the public well. It was completed January of 2009.

NICA upgraded and revitalized the local Catholic Church. We installed a garden, painted, added a bodega, and built a wall around it.

In January, NICA installed an internet connection at El Transfer Restaurant across the street from the public school in down town El Tránsito. In February, NICA installed a wireless router to the connection to spray signal to the school.
